About Lohagad Fort
Lohagad, the “iron fort”, sits on a hill above the village of Lohagadwadi, a short drive from Lonavala. A well-made stairway leads through four large gates to the top, so the trek is popular with first-timers.
From the top you can see Pavana Lake, Visapur Fort and the green Maval hills. In the monsoon the fort is wrapped in clouds and the trail is lined with small streams.
